On top of all that, The Cowboy Comedian is a real Cowboy, not just one in Cowboy clothes. He started life on a ranch outside a small town in Kentucky and always loved horses and the ranching lifestyle. So, at an early age, he entered the rodeo circuit, turned it into a profession, traveled all over the country, and excelled in steer wrestling for many years. A heart attack at an early age eventually forced him to give up that life and think about his next career. He went to comedy school and found love at first mic. So, today Cowboy once again travels all over the world, just like in his previous life, but this time on a stage.
A real patriot, Cowboy frequently travels overseas to entertain our troops. His 14+ USO/MWR Tours have taken him to Iraq, Kosovo, Japan, Guam, and Korea, to name a few. From a military family, he appreciates the opportunity to give back by bringing some humor to the troops, often traveling into the combat zone. In fact, on one tour, a mortar landed near him, and he lost 70% of the hearing in one ear. Even so, he is still eager to find every opportunity to travel back to entertain our soldiers.
